International Athlete

Under the guidance of Lorraine Shaw (2002 Commonwealth Games Champion) 2005 led to his first Senior internationals at the European Winter throws cup, European Team Championships and World University Games. It also bought his first British Senior Title and number one ranking. At the end of this season the decision was made to relocate to Scotland to prepare for the 2006 Commonwealth Games working with Britain’s most successful Hammer Coach, Alan Bertram.

Apart from a period in 2009/10 when working with Chris Black he was coached by Alan until his sad passing in May 2013. This training period led to 4th place finishes at the Commonwealth Games, 4 European Team Championship selections and a further 3 British Titles.
